You are Brown and visible!

And that is annoying! Why are all these cowardly, hateful laws being passed? Because you did not stay in the shadows, you are visible. You the brown Spanish speaking people of America are too successful. When you come to America risking life and death, leaving your family behind living in shitholes and working all day. You have become to visible. Eventually you started making good money, what would be a fortune in Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala to name a few. Now here are stores with Spanish signs and you walk into a store in the mall and are speaking Spanish. Well that is offensive because ALL American families have come from another country and they assimilated their selves, lost their culture ,language and rituals, but you brown looking Spanish speaking people have not done that and that is disappointing. By not being a team player you have offended a certain portion of America who are rudderless with no history or culture to fall back on. We celebrate St. Patty's day because we can drink massive amounts of Green Beer!!! Nevermind we are English or German etc we like to co-opt things and call them American because we never had to experience the gut wrenching effects of leaving a country behind. This is why you are being persecuted, because you can afford a new car,or house and your kids are going to school , and you have your own restaurants and you still speak Spanish on a regular basis. I mean everyone knows you can learn to speak another language fluently in a year!?! When laws are passed to hurt children because they are different you know its all about cowardice.

The South and Brown People

Unfortunately if you are Latino/Latina and you live in the South,(Specifically South Carolina). You are up against years and years of cowardice, otherwise known as blaming the brown people. You probably don't know the history of these states/state, you just wanted to come here for a better life make some money and support your family, otherwise known as living the American dream. You have steeped into a land of ignorant people who do not value education and when things go wrong want to blame everything on the people who look and talk differently. this overall small group of people are pissed off because it is not legal to hate black peopl, but you are close enough. You are brown speak a different language and have different cultural customs. This is scary to the uneducated and dumb white person, after all in S.C. it was'nt even mandatory to have a high school diploma until recently. It is an uphill battle but  a battle that can be won. The ignorant will forever despise you but soon your day will come!
